Mina has a comfortable marriage, a quiet apartment, and an app that was never meant to find her anyone.

The match comes back at ninety-four percent. He is not looking either. He answers at two in the morning, every time, within minutes, and he listens to her in a way she has not been listened to in a very long time.

She tells herself it's only conversation, right up until the afternoon she books the room. Thursdays, three o'clock, the same door on the third floor.
